The crank is a smaller diameter where the primary gear goes on a 998, so you need a larger bush in the primary gear, otherwise it's all the same. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Yes swift tune sell the 998 primary. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Careful that you buy the whole drop-gear train from Swifty as the primary gear is not compatible with the MS idler and input gear. Don't ask me how I know :( Edited by Paul S on 17th Oct, 2012. I'm sure any machine shop with a lump of the correct brass and some measurements could make a new bush to drop the 1275 gear down to 998 size. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:
