Can a 998 Engine handle standard boost from a metro t3 whilst staying completly standard internally?

obviously a decompression plate is needed but what thickness?

you have to take the head of in the first place ( to fit a de comp plate) why not do it correctly and have the combustion chambers ground out, and yes i think wil_h racer had a std bottom end for years

Unless your tracking the car, with a better camshaft, .. modded head etc.... ..... as andy says a little too big use a gt1752 Turbo or a T2 would be better

reason i would like to keep the t3 is because it is pretty much a straight bolt on, also they are plentyful and require no extra mods,

This also will be my first road going turbo mini and need to keep everything to a very tight budget which leads me onto why i am choosing the decom plate route :) the plates are able 25 quid local to me and is a much cheaper way of lower cr then head work or pistons

You could probably get away with strapping a T3 on and running 5-6psi of boost without much grief.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

The answer to the question is yes. But as above, it'll be a bit crap.

GT17 is probably a bit big too for a daily.
