Not sure what they are, but they certainly don't look like they'd stand up to much boost.

Big oil slots and 4 rings will make them very weak.

ok well that's that this set of pistons will be set aside.. just for sihts and giggles i measured the slots they are about .060" (1.52mm)

what would you guys suggest? something that's been proven time and time again?

back to the other question where is the build log posting section? or am i in it?

Youre in it

I seriously doubt it!

Anyone else know of any decent 1098 pistons for turbo use?

I can't seem to find any dished 1098 pistons which don't have oil slots.

The MED pistons are big bore (1275+)

Not sure on the minisport items but I wouldn't count on the picture being of the exact item.

Betwix Harrogate and York

They look like the old 20773 piston, but as above looking at the rings they are most likely Aus Mini sport Hypertecs. Looking at the link below they 100% are.

I've had a set of these in the sprint (998 variety) and I've not been impressed.

MS Aus also seem to have a set of Mahle 1098 pistons which look the same, but a bit different. No large oil slot for one.

the mahle do how ever have the slot in the oil grove no good?

surely someone running a turbo 1098 is using something decent ish no? maby limit the boost?

i do have a tenancy to give the mini a lota stick and then some more and well some more...
