Wahoooo.

Finally, after what feels like forever, I have a mini sat in my garage again. After selling my last one to Dave (davegill79) I've regretted it. He's made that car a million times better than it was when I had it, but I still liked having something to tinker with in the garage, and something different to the other boring cars on the road.

Since selling the mini I have had a clio 182 (crap), a discovery (fun, but crap), and now back into a mini.

This time around it's a 1990 Flame Red, with the chap having owned the car since 1993. It's currently got a 1275cc metro motor, with a few tweaks and bits, a fibre glass frontend (which needs painting), retro seats and interior bits, and some suspension that feels great to drive on.

It also came with boxes of spares.. including a turbo engine, turbo, etc etc...

I'm so glad to be back - it feels like home.

The clutch has started slipping (after I guessed it might in the test drive) so that's my first job, but apart from that, I think it's mostly easy stuff for now :)

Cheers for the kind words Alex! I'm not sure a million times better is accurate but I'm working on it Car looks tidy, will certainly be checking out your fibreglass front end and suspension upgrades for inspiration.

First jobs are to fix the clutch, and rip out the inner wings and replace with brace bars.

I'm not sure what's up with the clutch yet, so expect a post about that today
