if its just the back box yes very, if you have the linkpipe box too it is manageable but your ears ring after a motorway session, i ditched both for a twin box maniflow 2"

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

Well my plan was a 2" pipe from the turbo to the backbox, you recon it would be too loud,
I have no experience with any system so do know what to go for, was it a turbo engine you ran it on.
Sorry for the hijack.:)

it was a non turbo 998 then on the 1293 turbo ( my first turbo engine) i would run a single box with turbo its quite suprising how much sound they take from the exhaust, infact i have run with no silencers and a turbo, it was fairly civilised

As mentioned, the turbo takes out most of the noise. It is so much quieter than my 1275 N/A which has a 1 3/4 " maniflow system.

Many people have said it is the quietest mini they've heard. The frequency of it is very low so on a motorway cruise you do get a bit of a drone but the exhaust noise is easily dwarfed by the turbo whine and induction noise.

I'd recommend it.

I find with turbos the intake noise is almost zero compared to a NA with a large stack or trumpet.

Yet another advantage of a turbo.

So to conclude, don't fit a backbox, fit a turbo instead.
