truth be told, not worth the effort, there are so many 998 blocks lying around, 80 or 100 thou OB would be my max, 120 (maybe 100) requires offset boring which costs a bit... its more for the wank factor going that big... its cheaper to just straight bore, some good 80thou pistons can be had from Graham Russel here in Oz, i think he sells them on to K.Dodd... anywho, 80thou would be the way to go, if a piston buggers up and scores the bore, chuck it at the scrappers and pick another 998 block off the pile...

If the pistons are made to the same design as the smaller ones in the range then they should be up to the abuse.

yeah i suppose it would be better to go 0.080" over and spend the cash saved on balancing or something eles.. it was just a thought 0.120" over with 1098 crank and rods would come out at about 1202cc vs 0.080" witch gives 1166cc hmm |

I had the idea once but +120 pistons are 998 items with a bigger crown height than 1098 pistons (more stroke, same block height and same rod length).
