Thought I would chuck up some of my clio projects on here this is the car I sold the day I bought my mini - it started life as a lowley 1.2 RL (bottom poverty spec) and ended up and a 1.8.

I bought a 1.2 RL to replace my 1.4 RT as the engine in the 1.4 drank £40 a week in fuel back when it was 80p odd a litre:

The 1.2 has the black bumpers and the 1.4 next to it - this was the day I bought it


The modlist for the car went as follows:

Phase 1 Tailgate
Colour coded bumpers/strips
Dimma Rear Spoiler
Clio 16v Interior
Clio 16v Clocks and dash top
Lowered 60mm
Mongoose Straight through exhaust system
De-cat
Clio RSi Alloys
Clio RSi Sideskirts
Renault 19 16v engine
Clio 16v Front brakes

I was a filthy cheap basterd back then and didnt want to spend £50 to change a water pump, tried getting my friend to bodge it only when the system was presurised it dropped all the coolant - driving back from Oxford to Swindon (an hours trip) with no coolant generally blows a CHG pretty good.

Swapped the pump and carreid on driving it for a month but the damage was already done - the kid that bought it off me found the cylinder head was warped pretty bad and so bought a new engine and threw it in.

According to the DVLA vehicle enquiry the Date of Liability is 01 09 2011 So it looks like it hasnt been taxed/sorn'd since so im guessign the guy that bought it off me scrapped it =[
