Yes, compression is around 9:0 to 9:1 and planning on running 10psi with intercooler so should have some nice usable bottom end.

Yh the plan is to have a nice drive but with a bit of ooomph when wanted.

mines 1293, 10cc omegas, t2, avonbar phase 2 cam, 10psi and hoping for 120-130bhp. keeping all helical gears aswell so dont really want to be putting out any more than that.

Some goodies to fit :)

Some more progress.....

Losing some weight

New o/s, n/s and rear boot floor. o/s wheel arch is also new.
Two repair sections to each side of the rear seat also.

Butt welded everything so theres no overlaps to rust away. Took ages lining everything up just right but worth it.

That gearbox looked close to death!

Good work with the shell, I moaned when restoring mine but looking at pictures of cars with entire floors missing makes mine seem insignificant!

Yh gearbox wasnt too pretty.

Its nice to actually get more panels going on the car rather than taking everything off!

What do you guys think of the valance?
Was thinking of maybe putting some more smaller holes on the top row but dont want to make it too holey *happy* lost 0.25kg from it so far.

Did you check that you hadn't put holes where it mounts to the closing panels on the car?

Im not going to put the closing panels on. Just the valance.

I know the closing panels help stop mud etc but with the holes hopefully it wont clog up too much.

I'll just wash it out every so often.

moth tester might not like that. they are part of the rear subby mounting body structure. I'll bet it will be floppy without them too
