Went "green laning" out in Derbyshire last week, never done anything offroad before really, the pictures are only a small selection as we did about 40 miles of lanes, but I have to say I was amazed at where it was possible to get the Shogun to go, it is a totally standard car apart from a reasonable set of all terrain tyres on it. Some of the places we went I would have otherwise thought that legs would be needed to go.

Done it a few times. Couple of times defender 110's, a nearly new range rover and an old Series 2 light weight. Great fun, but very addictive and expensive when you really get into it. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

I must say I've only recently got into offroading, while it is fun it doesn't quite have the same feeling of piling into camp corner at combe on the edge of grip/control. A different kind of fun. It is funny though to see the look of other road users when you go past in a car that looks like it has just had a ton of mud poured over it.

I really enjoyed it John. The lanes we did were not as extreme as the ones in the pics above, as I was with a group with standard-ish Shoguns, but a couple of the lanes literally I was amazed it was possible to negotiate them. We did a couple of lanes near Bamford, then over towards Chapel en le Frith/Buxton area.

I am not sure when I will go again, it kind of relies on going in a group of you, to make sure there are vehicles/people to help if you get stuck, some places we went are literally miles from anywhere.
