Hi everyone,
Just introducing my defer i'm doing a tidy up of to get it back to roadworthy and reliable.
A bit of a back story, I've had only minis for the last few years but looking to get something to use as a tow car and something i can go up to fraser with and have a bit of comfort for everyday.
My first pick was to be an ex army perentie, but after a chance meeting with an aulro member at bunnings i got put onto this one, and bought it that weekend.
Its a 1992 200tdi 110 ute with 190k ks. Its a bit rough so far but is tidying up very quickly.

So far plans are to replace the rusty bits with new bits, a 2 inch lift, and get it roadworthy then improve it as i go.
As i picked it up with a mates cruiser to tow it

A bit of footwell rust, fairly light and wont take much to replace

Stripped off the tray and having a look at the chassis underneath, all in really good Nick, has been previously plated over but its all solid.

After a bit of paint

Theres a few more pics on my photobucket and ill keep this thread updated.
Looking forward to hearing what you all think.
Cheers
Joe

Your an idiot!

Well actually were both idiots, I've got a 300tdi defender 90 and while I like it, every time I get in I seem to be diagnosing a new rattle, knock or clunk! The alternator gave up charging today!

That said I wouldn't be without one.
