Was talking with a mate yesterday. We basically settled on that same spec for his car, but with mirage fanimolds. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder. On 15th Aug, 2011 robert said:

The 20 hour Turbo used standard flat top pistons. You will ony get melting problems if your setup is poor or you over boost. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

You're after a 7cc dish (12G295 = 28.4, 12G940 = 21.4) as a 12G295 gives around 9 to 1 on flat top pistons in a 998.

i thought 998 standard dished pistons were 4 ring type so not really the best type to use??? one day boost will be mine!

ah, ok. I've got it in my head from somewhere on here about not using 4 ring pistons, might be something to do with 1275's maybe then. Or I'm just not remembering right full stop.

The circlips have always been a problem, boost or no boost. It's high revs that make them fail then funk your bores. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph
