Hi all,

Just thought I'd let you know I had a Mini Magazine photoshoot today - we should have another turbo Mini in the mag early next year! Many thanks to Jon Betts for opportunity and Al Cusick for some stunning shots. Two thoroughly nice chaps. And "thanks" to whoever's responsible for the weather as it was a cracking day after being so hit and miss this week and miserable last night!

Cheers,

Pottsy.

Snapped a couple of pics this morning - would've gone out for a drive to take them somewhere more interesting than the driveway but the F1 is on *smiley*

I had a few pics in a thread I had going a while back (http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=287750) but here's some up to date pictures;

After 10+ years it got its MOT about 6 weeks ago so some teething problems to overcome still but seems to be running well - other than a balancing act between adjusting the clutch so it just about disengages, but it's slipping when the car's under a lot of load.

Engine spec;
1293cc with Benross stage 5 leaded head, Titan 1.3 roller rockers, Accralite forged pistons, Fully balanced knife edged crank, Avonbar phase 2 cam, Garrett T3 hybrid turbo, straight cut drops & 'box and a 4 pin diff.

No Jamz, it's not yet actually. It'll be the first job for the new year now it's got a few miles on it. It has a funny point at about 2,500 - 3,000 where it's either not timed properly or the fuelling's out, need to check the MJ map it's running. Would hope for about 150 bananas with "sensible" boost.

Also not sure where to take it (North Staffs or South Cheshire) - there's "Mikeanics" (http://jc-webs.co.uk/mikeanics/index.htm) pretty local but someone that knows MegaJolt would be handy - he seems to make a big deal out of knowing about Lumenition systems.

I like the air filter/intake arrangement, very neat solution!

I've use Mikeanics for years with MS. Hell do anything as long as you let him know.

After all the MJ is ignition only, so as long as you take a laptop, you can help if he can't work it out.

Superb Wil, thanks for that. You can't beat a bit "word of mouth" recommendation. I'll line a session up early next year so I'm ready for the return of the decent weather *oh well*
