Hi there,

I got hold of a set of 1275 pressed steel rockers so 1.27 if what I red on Minispares is right.

Anyway, I am wondering if it is worth fitting offest bushes to them as I only found sets at 50£ without postage. (worth as in I can feel a power difference)

Car is a 998 with a stage 1 and standart head and cam.
It's gonna get a MD 256 at some point.

Other option would be 1,5 rockers but the way I understand it, they would throw too much lift whith anything but the standart cam (and even then, maybe more bad than good)

What do you think ?

If you are going to change the cam anyway, you may as well save your money and just do that sooner.

Also 100% without wanting to be the wise guy, as your English is far far better than my French, the spelling of the word for unmodified parts is "standarD" *wink*

I don't think you can change the bushes in pressed ones easily. If you want offset rocker bushes, you'll need the Cooper S type rocker.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

My experience is that 1.5s can make a huge differance, especially with the Kent cam profiles. somewhere I have a set of Avonbar 1.5s that I used to great effect on a 998, but they did wear the guides noticably quicker.

As Veg says, I think you need the be sure you can change the bushes.

@ Tom : yes, I always have trouble with standard. I don't know why.
Maybe your contribution will help me.

Camshaft is already at home, maybe I pull my finger out of my keayboard at some point during winter and replace it ...

@ Veg & Wil
It is stated on various places on the web that the bushes are happily changed with two sockets and a hammer, looked like a the kind I have to me ...

If a set of roller 1,5 turns out at a price I can't miss, I'll see what I want to do.
