im looking to turbo in the long run but for now i want to change my head and cam,

Unless you want to pocket your block or go for monster power, I'd stick with the 295.

well i have looked, ive typed in do i need to skim a 12G295, and 12G295 and look through loads of topics but none say about if it needs to be skimmed

I'm sure it does say in hundreds of topics that the standard 295 with 28cc chambers will give 9.3:1 CR with flat top pistons and that this is suitable for 12psi (or more with good fuelling and IC).

Cant you receed the valves into the head to prevent them from hitting the block instead of pocketing the block? i remember K Calver doing so. Worked ok for him, not on a turbo application mind.. |
