Ok, so i went against most of your advice about the shoddiness of the t.t.lyle cage. This was because i meainly wanted the cage for a)looks and b) structural strength ... i wasnt too fussed if it was the strongest cage in the world if i flip it. But anyway ......

i ordered the full lot, 2 crossover bars (fixed) door bars and dash bar. Confirming at each step the price and exactly what i had ordered ... i was to come to 245 inc p+p
i was told there would be a 2 week wait for the cage before ordering which was fine with me as i was in no rush. 2 weeks later it arrived (which i thought was good :))
HOWEVER after checking the invoice it had seemed that for some reason there was only 1 crossover bar on the invoice (they had only charged me for one even tho i confirmed 2 :s) ... i thought i had no chance of redeeming this as they make the cages to order and i didnt think they would let me send it back to them, but then i thought that there removable crossbars may fit over the weld on (fixed) bars, so i rang up to ask and was informed that sadly they wouldnt fit.
I thought i would cut my loss as they hadnt charged me for the second bar, i decided i could live with just 1. However, about 2 mins after i had put the phone down i got a phone call from them, they said they were sorry for my inconvenience and that they would send a courier to pick up my cage and make a new one with the extra bar and resend it free of charge! i thought this was might decent considering i hadnt even kicked up a fuss!
I told them i would take it to the local post office instead of having them collect it.
He then told me if i wanted it quicker (there was another 2 week wait for the new cage) he would actually weld me on another bar on my cage to save me time, and again at no extra cost, i agreed this would be better and hung up the phone.
About 5 minutes after that i got yet ANOTHER phone call, this time saying that to save me posting my cage to them etc and to save even MORE time, he was constructing me a custom removable bar to go over my fixed bar, he hadnt done this for anyone else before but he wanted to try it for me!
So for no extra charge i was getting a completely unique part for my cage, at no extra cost AND i wouldnt have to send my cage away.
Now i know you thought their cages looked not great, but i just thing that customer service is BRILLIANT, i did not ask for a replacement, or even sound slightly angry and they went out of their way to help me get the cage i wanted.
I would reccomend them to any of you who want a rollcage (non FIA as it is bolt up) ... it really doesnt look that weak when you see it, and all the welding it very neat etc. I am happy with it anyway.
Sorry to rant but i felt i had to tell my story, companies like that make me smile BIG TIME!

i dont have any however, if you think they will be useful i shall take some tomorrow in the daylight and post them up for you :)

Sounds like a decent chap, perhaps some other companies could take a leaf out of his book when it comes to customer service.

thats often the way with some companies, if they pick up the phone and the customer starts shouting at them, naturally they prob wont give you great service and will make make you wait longer. I like the softly softly approach to work something out ammicably first, then start shouting if they dont lol.

i know if i had a business i'd look after the nice complaining people more than the angry ones.

the thing is, i wasnt even complaining, i was willing to accept that i only had one bar, i explained the situation and was purely asking if the removable alternative would fit over the fixed bar. When he said it would i said ok thank you that is all for now and hung up. He actually phoned me back to see if he could do anything extra for me, that is why i was so happy with the service.

Yeah he's not far from where i live in Norfolk, down near Kings Lynn. Always considered one, but my insurance company laughed at me when i asked for a quote. I still really fancy on of the Italian Job style cages that he does!!!

i have the six point cage and although it looks good it doesnt fit very well especially with the door bars dash brace ect also another problem with it is that the paint is very thin on them it has only had a sincle coat of paint and it chips very easy. there are also loards of runs everywhere on the cage but i have not contacted them as i will have it resprayed to match my car anyway
