I have just rebuilt my standard turbo carb but when i took it apart there was no jet or needle! what is the best position 2 set these so that my car will run? The car is a 988 turbo using a modded standard head and a stock cam with an intercooler. the needle is a BDD

Hard to say. But using the BDD, wind the jet right up to the top, then back dowm 2 1/2 turns.

This will get it started, but it's no guarentee that it will be right for the whole rev range.

Read the guide to polishing needles on here.

Check that the actuator is shut.

Other common mistake is to have blocked the hole to the float bowl from the plenum.

i have blocked the plenum hole and that checked that the acuator is shut but still no difference! wat should the fuel pressure be at idle? could i have it set to low low so when it starts to boost there is not enough fuel??

Fuel pressure should be 3.5 - 4 psi at idle

If you look at the rear face of the carb. There is a small drilling on the right hand side near the bolt holes. Should be a matching hole on the planum. Make sure the gasket hasn't blocked it.

What turbo are you using?

And are you driving the car or just revving it on the spot?

Get it setup on a rolling road. you risk damaging it if you don't
