Hi there, many thanks for a top day on Saturday, was well organised and very laid back....just the way it should be. Have made a list of performance figures and weights for all those that ran, see below.
For those that also ran up the strip either Saturday or Sunday could you please post your time and add a quick comment about how your run/s went, thanks.

The metro van did 160bhp on its second run. will get the torque figures tonight.

I believe carl made 230bhp on last run. If he has the graph he should be able to confirm.

Matt made 235bhp & 750kg not sure on torque and rpm though

Yeah any figures not correct please amend as I was only going off what Gavin the operator told me and he may not have given me final run figures each time!

I did 4 runs on Sunday, each getting progressivly quicker however I am still learning how to launch it. I'm either getting masses of wheel spin or bogging down.

I was getting really bad wobble through the steering, then I remembered I spotted the drivers front wheel was buckled while the car was on the rollers.

Swapped to my other pair of wheels with better tyres and did 1 run with a passenger in and had a very bogged down start however it was my quickest run! 15.32 @ 90.15mph on 12.5psi. I reckon if I had ran with the new wheels on my own that there is easily a 14 in the car at the current boost level (if i don't fuck up the launch).

My highest terminal speed was a 15.37 run with a terminal of 92.5mph and massive shake cos of the buckled wheel.

I've been having a lot of trouble with the carb and very inconsistent fuelling and poor starting so think a rebuild is required.

My best at pod was 14.2 @94mph with a shamefull 2.4 60ft

Plus the infamous Santa Pod headwind.

Ran 14.42 on Sunday at 93.85mph on 16psi. 2.33 60ft. I had to lift off at 5.5k in 3rd/ 4th gear due to a major lean off. So just coasted over the line. decided to give up and sort out the fuel issue, as the same happened on the first run on the rollers. Luckily engine seems ok, but it was its first full pull at over 14psi. Think a 13 is easily at reach once issue sorted.

Class C 3rd Place Avon 2011 14.18 @101mph

For some reason I couldn't get any more than around 15-16psi boost.

Still managed a 14.4 @ 92mph (5 mph less than MITP)

My 60fts are down, with a best of 2.37 which is 3 tenths quicker than MITP.

Well pleased. Now I just need to find out what happens once I've upped the boost.

My clutch was pathetic, got shitty clutch slip as oli will testify, did a shit run of 14.5 on 13.2 psi of boost and gave in. The only thing my car did well was this...

However myself, oli, john, andy, matt, steve and benny had a cracking time at the pod and a nice run home.

It all started at 4.30ish when it was beer oclock as Oli nicely announced and went on til 5.30 the next morning, in between myself and Steve walked around 10 miles at 2am to find some wood, we all tucked into some lovely trout, I walked the 1/4mile bollock naked for about 30 yards until andy tried to steal my trousers, clambered ontop on a tanker, supped 90 cans between us all and set fire to the grass with my light show.

Had a run in the tangerine machine, the clutch may be currently toast but its still an awesome bit of kit very savage in its output, and the flames were very amusing as was the whole wkend.

Did a shit run of 15.6 at 14 psi and me wheel arch trim came off, ran against John and did a shit 14.4 ish at 18 psi ish then 3rd run burnout the damper in the carb stuck, seems I have crap either in my ic, or sucked in somewhere or my turbo is shitting itself. Was fine on the way home on no boost.

TBH I think we were all dogged with problems this weekend.

I had a wobbly wheel and my fuelling was all over the place.

Mike has a slippery crutch

Matt A had a leaning off issue

Oli had a carb issue

Van is basically being a PITA (what you get for chucking it together at the last minute)

Mine was very rich at the top end so we tried leaning off but made no difference, ive just realised more boost should have been on order!! Doh
