Interesting spec, I wouldn't think that cam with fi is a good idea??

There is quite a big dip at 5750rpm too, did he speculate why that was?

Good figures though...

Only a 30 shot.
Went bigger to go over 200bhp but the clutch slipped.

Good figures without NOS (red graph I presume). What boost does it make?

What turbo is that with?

How does it drive with that cam?

Cheers.

Edit: What a complete plonker, how did I miss the large piece of text in the spec sheet with Supercharger written on it!

Yes, Red graph

Only 10psi, thats the downfall with a supercharger. The engine would take more.
The upside is the smooth power curve

If anyones interested, the engine will be sold on after a friendly shoot out with a 1.8vvci mini at pod.
I will probably split it and sell the supercharger kit off separatly.

As you have said before Will, decide what competition you want to enter and build the car to suit.

Supercharger!

Drives well, the power is very smooth, as the red curve shows.

Not as different as you'd think!
Originally this was one of a pair of engines in 'ministorm2'. Anyone remember it?
I have changed the carb and manifold, which has released a little more power, from my previous runs on SRE's dyno.
Although not as much as vmax scart quote for this engine (184bhp).

well thats good power from that boost, the longer cams do seem to work well in a supercharged lump,

Yep they seems to be the same at NA lumps.. I would have gone up a cam from my 266 if I had known

Edited by gr4h4m on 30th Jul, 2011.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

the dips in the curve may be wheelspin /clutch slip ,id say theres a bucket load more trq to come .

losses at 13 and then 21 seem odd.

Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM

nice one for the small boost you run :)

Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph
First 5 port miniturbo to make over 200 bhp on a carb?
