yeah well, with the demise of the old buggy motor a while ago at Lakeside, we have been busy making new engine mounts & etc-s for the fitment of the new injected motor

we`ve set-up a new sump baffle plate so we don`t loose oil pressure around corners,,, we`ve sorted out the slipper clutch so we won`t be shredding clutches on the down shifts, ,, we`ve also dialed the cams in because these R1 engines have a very small cam chain & they tend to stretch quite a fair bit ,,, this donk has done only 6000kms so it`s all stretched in now & we`ve re-set the cams back 6 degrees to where they`re meant to be,,, (the old donk needed an 11-degree swing)

all pretty & painted now so i started to set-up the steering rack , to give me more lock,,, & then i ripped into the diff & the engine to get them back into their respective places



so, now i have the donk in place & the steering rack sorted & the diff all fitted with the new sprocket & 530-X-link chain all plugged in ,,, Jonno is onto the wiring of all the new injection crap & i`m onto sorting all the new hi-pressure fuel system, pump, swirl pot & return line etc

I have some cables to sort yet, (((clutch & throttle,,, they had to be different didn`t they? ;-( ))) but after all that it`ll be wheel aligned & then it`ll be off to my friends place (Garry) for a dyno tune

& then it`ll be time to test it out,,, maybe Norwell or Lakeside for its test , because i think it`s a bit too fast (read "Dangerously stoopidly fast) for my dad`s track now

its all been a bit of a pain in the butt,,, but we should have about 30 more horse-power ,,, smoother delivery & also another 2000rpms-ish,,, so i`m absolutely hangin for a fangin now

Once we run this thing around all the "usual" tracks & get a decent amount of practice,,, we`ll start setting up the turbo for it
