Ok so I thought I would explain a little how my poor mini came to be.
I purchased a 93 mini cooper SPI a few years back, it was pretty shabby but I loved it!

Decided it was time to get some bodywork restoration done so got the front end rebuilt, then later on the rear end was done.

Also decided that I wanted to go for sportspack arches with alloys for some beef!

Then one day the death of my mini came and decided that one of the planet gears was going to break and crack the diff casing, just after I had serviced her!

At the time I was out of work and couldn't afford the repair. But like hell was I selling her! I got her transported to my dads in Bournemouth 95 miles away where she has been awaiting resurrection.
Got the engine out about a month ago

I'm planning a full engine rebuild, and have been thinking for a while what I want. I wanted to keep the idea of injection as it was already running as an SPI. I then learnt about the siamese port charge robbing issue so I started looking at changing cylinder head. Found out about the BMW K conversion's which looks like a pretty good upgrade! But I also wanted to go down the route of forced induction, love the sound of a supercharger but a cant beat the thrill of a turbo. So turbo it is!
Anyways i'm going down to Bournemouth tonight to start stripping the engine down, then I should be able to get most of it back to London and start sending off the block for work.
