We had our first go at setting the VE table and injection timing today. We are just looking for a basic "safe" setup that we can transfer to the Miglia for fine tuning.

This is with the standard MS3 firmware and using the injection timing table. Also using staged injection, two primary injectors and two secondary injectors.

We used "VE analyse Live", so the laptop did all the VE table adjustments of the inner cylinder wideband. Sturgeo just fiddled with the injection timing to even up the AFRs. Unfortunatley, I forgot to tell him that there is another timing table for the secondaries :$

We had to change the timing a bit off-boost as this is where the injection strategy has changed. There is still some work to be done, but it is running great.

Here is a small part of the data log taken from the on-board SD card:

You can see where the staged injectors come in and out as the PW halves/doubles. Also where I hit the rev limiter and it retarded the ignition and then cut fuel.

The red AFR is the outer cylinders. Getting this rich enough is the Holy Grail. As you can see, it is plenty rich enough. A little more injection advance on boost will even that out.

We've done some fine tuning now, just a couple of runs round the block using VEAL to set the fueling and adjusting the injection timing as we flew, as you do :)

Here's a log of third gear at WOT:

Odd lean spikes on the gear change.

Realy impressed with the simplicity of setup with the new ECU.
