I've been on here for a while now, and through the advise and knowledge gained from the people of this site I have finally completed my 998 turbo project! Well I say complete, it'll never be finished!

So, it's a late A+ 998 that's standard apart from a benross refurbished 12g295 (from wilh). I'm running a matty log manifold that's feeding a Renault 5 T2 that actually had some play in the shaft (not thrust play) and an Audi tt intercooler.

So far it's bloody good, I can't beleive how quick it is for a 998.

I only have one photo of the engine, I'll take some of the car later on and post those too...

Looks good, that TT cooler fits in there really well.

Turbo parts collector at the moment, almost ready.

A very tidy looking installation, that intercooler is probably a pretty safe bet as far as efficiency is concerned considering the standard car seems to have a fair bit of poke. Nicely dimensioned to, I'm off to have a hunt on ebay.

I actually see quite a lot of minis around here, I see a red mk3? With what looks like 10" dunlops a fair bit.

a bit of a sleeper then.
Looks good.
What boost are you running? Is it on a turbo dizzy?

You plan on getting it on the rollers?

Bit of a sleeper, photos aren't that great on the drive! When I take it out for a blast next I'll take a camera, the I phone does ok pictures but they just seem to upload and be really small!!

I am going to get it to a rolling road - slark is my preference, I don't know of a better one near here.

I'm running about (153kpa) 7.5/8 psi, with megajolt - the intercooler won't fit with a dizzy there.

I can email photos if you like analogue radio, iPhone to photo bucket and they come out that size - sorry!

I went to slark for my first tune. good chap. Take some ear defenders with you, it's quite a small room so is very noisy.

Try www.dropbox.com
You can save things other than photos too.
There's an iphone app so it's easy to upload. Just put the pics in the public folder and link as you would do normally.
Come out full size then.

I just wanted to see some detailed photos of your set up and how it all fits together.

(First time turboing and I've got almost the same specs as you)

snugly - is how it fits together! for all the actuator/dump valve/megajolt etc etc i drilled and tapped the inlet manifold with 3/8" holes and just bought the relavent fittings from merlin motor sport.

The other hard part was manufacturing a down pipe, I just took a maniflow turbo down pipe and cut off the flange, then bought a straight 2" section with a flare on one end, a tight 90 degree 2" section and a plate made to fit to the turbo then welded them all together! the downpipe slides in to the outlet from below and then is just clamped with an exhaust clamp rather than the flare thing. made my exhaust easier to fit and remove.

i've been to slark before with a supercharged setup, neil and his dad are both very well respected and did a good job on my car at that point. i know a few people that will only go there! so thats good enough for me!

i know castle motors has a ROLLING ROAD but ive not heard anyone thats been there???
