Hi all, Ive been on here a while now reading and posting questions.

Ive had a Metro Turbo engine in my shed for a few years now doing bits and bobs as I can afford it thinking that when I buy a Mini/projest I could drop it in, to be fair because I didn't have a mini things have been very slow, and the fact I moved into my first house didn't help. (althought I now have a drive and room for extension) :)

Well Ive bit the bullit and bought a 1971 Mk3 off someones mate off here. Its currently an 850 with magic wand and 40k on the clock!

My intensions are to build it into a Mk3 Cooper S lookalike, on the inside it will be completly striped out with some 60s-70s features, outside will be tarten red with a black roof with all the details of a Cooper S, and under the bonnet will be a Metro Turbo engine in almost standard tune, just to get me back in a mini.

This will be long term project as money allows (bloody mortgage companies), First job will be to get it striped then get ALL the bodywork in order.

This is as I got it,

Enjoy, Matt

Doesn't look too bad, should be a fairly easy restoration
