not sure I agree with some of this guys practices, but handy if youve never had a box apart.

See what you mean Very handy with his hammer, punch and unprotected vice jaws! Glad you posted this though I have stripped so many but they are all still in bits after years! Think I might re assemble a couple. Right where do i start! |

I've got a MED SCCR box and JKD LSD semi in bits to build yet, I'm good with most things but not having built a gearbox before I still don't know whether to do it myself or get someone else to do it!

baulk rings are easy. if they go all the way up the cone, they are fooked. Aim for at least a 1mm gap between ring and gear when pushing them on by hand.

yeah a lot oof the new rings are crap, you need to sift through them a bit, or use god 2nd hand ones. On 28th Aug, 2011 Kean said:
