Somewhere around Swindon

Looks a good project, you need to fully seam weld that box in rather than spot welding.

Please don't take this as being negative but,

1- the box needs (good) seam welding as Wolfie says.

2 - Learn the lesson "measure twice, cut once" - That strip you've added along the top of the box just isn't required if the hole had been cut the right size and you would have been welding to a stronger section.

For seam welding, just practice with two overlapping plates - assuming you are using MIG, it's just a balance between current, wire feed speed and how fast you move the torch. If you haven't got any new metal, just sand the paint of the stuff you cut out and practice on that.

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Coming on nicely, but you need to seem weld the joints around the bulkhead box in the same way you have the other panels. If you have a crash with it like that, the bulkhead will likely collapse and you will end up with the engine where your legs used to be...

Thats definately gasless welding, one tip i do have from learning with one myself, is do a bit, wire brush the scum off, do a bit more and repeat. looks much tidyer when youre doing it and the smog from the flux doesnt conduct electricity too well, it will help much more. But other than that it doesnt look too bad at all :)
