The mirrors look good but are not very useful !! as for the Turbo engine, its in but just some final bits of plumbing and wireing to finish, I also had to convert to disc breaks on the front as didnt think the drums would be a good idea with the added BHP . The good news is as there is so much room in the engine bay I have been able to put a massive intercoorler in !

You got balls driving that without having door bars so to say, would love a scamp but with a clubman front end dont k ow how it would look but would be so light *smiley*).

Looking forward to seeing this with the turbo motor good work so far

Got the turbo unit installed, just the final plumbing to do and find a spot for the intake.

My slightly worse looking half has a Nato green Scamp. It's bloody cold but I like it.

Yours is pretty cool.

Just to give everyone an update I now have the turbo engine installed and running, all be it with a few problems and tears *tongue* , still after a few miles to adjust the boost and fuel pressure I have managed to give it some welly and all I can say is Fu*k me its fast ! it should have a top speed of 90 as I put a final drive in of 3.4.1 which means 1st is just silly 2nd just spins and 3rd leaves you with no breath . Its a B road monster , well chuffed and have to say couldnt have acheaved this with out the help of the forum . :)

Tidy!

What's the preference with the checkered plating? not just you, i've spotted it on a few kit-car based projects, isn't it incredibly heavy?

Its alloy and doesnt bend or dent easy so ideal for kit cars. We used a mix of 3mm and 1.5 , the 1.5 is much lighter than steel. Its very expensive to buy however I managed to get a deal with a local steel workshop *smiley*
