Hi guys,
First of all ill start with some camshaft questions:
1) What is the difference between the camshaft for A series engine and the A+ cam?
2) are 1275cc and 998cc camshafts different? because Swiftune has kits for A/A+ and 998/1275

now about megajolt:
3) what type of trigger wheel do i need for a 998 engine?
4) Where can i find a 998 Turbo map for the megajolt?

Thanks in advance,
Naor

These are all very very basic questions, not the sort that would get answered pleasantly on here! I suggest you do some research on the a series engines.

But to answer;

The difference in terms of the swift tune description is the oil pump drive, there are three types of drive, pin, slot and Spider. They all relate to the age and a or a+
series. You can change the oil pump to suit your cam choice or order the correct cam for your oil pump.

As for the trigger wheel question I suggest you read the autosport website, or use the search button on here...

Here's a really early map we ran on the TT. It's for lots of boost, but should get you going.

Trigger wheel is a trigger wheel. Lots of options, specialist components, MED, KAD, Trigger wheels, Ebay...........

As i understand it all A+ engines use slot drive. 1275 and 998.

All A- 1275 engines(big bore) use spider drive.

All A- 998 engines (small bore) use pin drive.

You can use a spider drive cam in an A+ engine but you need a 6mm spacer.

If i´m wrong, please someone shout at me

On the triggerwheel question....
Last week i drilled 36 holes in a crankshaft damper/ pulley. Evenly spread
Then had it machined i a lathe.

I hope it works when i get so far.

Good luck
