Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

Made some different legth ram pipes up on the lathe, I'm not sure if there are any gains to be made using the slightly longer ones, or if it'll make sod all difference ? Huge difference. Bellmouth would be best placed around 350-400mm from valve for best useable torque :) Short ones would be good for dyno figures if you are camming the engine for 8k plus. 350 - 400mm!!! Realistically 200mm is the maximum achievabel with this head, I reckon I've managed 160 to 180mm. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Just mount the plenum in front of the bonnet and it will be fine :) Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

If 160-180mm is really all that is achievable without poking out. What would be the impact of this? Would you be able to run a simulation based on this configuration and compare to the ideal? If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

Well that's all that's possible with a plenum (on a clubman). with just an airfilter you could get longer, but not 400mm. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph
