bowt time i put some pics of the motor up shes not perfect but she will be. home grown on the drive. had do an engine change the first month of being back on the road after ten years lol got it done just in time for the northern mini show at manby and came second in concours. [nearly done

After getting her all sorted out some retard goes and crashes into her causing nearly two grands worth of damage (i know id dont look like it lol)front and backend cruched

looks like a nice tidy car.

planning on a big motor over the summer 1293 turbo hopefuly got all the turbo stuff just waiting to be able to afford new motor

well its taken a while to get round to sorting the car out after it taking one from behind but over the last week i got stuck in as i start my new job on monday and need the car sorted heres a few pics not the greatest work but it will do for now.

got all the crap bits chopped out


replace both subframe mointing points as they were thinner than papper

got the new floor in what a biatch they are had to split it to get to the right shape

all seam sealed and filled

bit more filler

primed and ready for paint

finished just got to put boot lid on later today

cheers Andy when iv got moved and sorted the whole inside boot will be getting resprayed at the moment its more of a weather protection than a finished paint job. i has to extens the rear valence by 2 inches to get it to fit i though id done the back panel wrong so i put the old and new valences together and the newer one was short ??? copy panels are crap

well after to trips to the other side of the country to see andy and john for turbo parts another head gasket has fallen victim, glad this time it happened after work and not on the way. so i know what il be doing this weekend

so thought i would put some progress up on the turbo side of things. it started with me buying a almost complete setup from john could of just bangd it all together and had it running a long time ago but after reading many threads on hear id got the turbo bug bad and wanted more power. a bit pic heavy
Standard metro turbo head which came with johns goodies shall be changed to one of steves (benross) heavily modded heads once iv got up and running


1293 block from john internaly looked great externaly needed sorting


old timing gear changed for nice adjustable setup and as il be using megajolt the med kit was cry out to be purchased

kind of fitted it together to see how it looked.

After Andy (apbellamy) had offered a straight cut gearbox to another member and was turnded down i couldnt say no at the price. so after spening the day with andy showing me how to build a box which really isnt as bad as it looks i came home and chucked the old one to one side

i know some of you dont like the starmags but i liked the dished ones so a full set of 12 by 6 was ordered. will look good with some soft yoko's on

group 5 arches primed and awaiting payday for paint

almost new t3 turbo i know its old hat now but i want to get it up and running and set up then i can change to a gt for more power

old clubman front splitter that was still in original packaging should look good stuck to the front

intercooler rather large


bonnet that will be going on has a scoop but not a stupid sized one

and where the engine bay is at the moment also waiting for payday



shall be using megajolt for the ignition and have the aem wideband kit tho make sure theres no leaning off

wont be ready for avon unfortunatly i get paint on friday but im not of work till mid next week so wont get any spraying done till then still need subframe mounts drive shafts cv joints pot joints and put engine in and learn how megajolt works
