Avonbar have let me down they told me that they had a 4 pin diff in stock on Monday I phoned Tuesday to order more parts some came Wednesday so I phoned wednesday to check the wherabouts of the outstanding parts and was told they were in an outher package I have just phoned to be told they dont have a diff and wont have one till next week. funny, mini spares have no 4 pin diffs either, altho they didnt think to tell me when i ordered, instead i had to chase them up a week later to try and find out where my order is.

Maybe it was a one off they said that when they went for the diff it was in an engine but unused they said they removed it but they didnt send it or contact me I contacted them a few times but they didnt tell me that there was a problem they just wafaled about it being in an outher parcel which turned out not to have been sent to me. |

i contacted Ian at Avonbar a few days ago about an order which had not arrived, apparently the weather conditions were giving logistical propblems to the deliverys to them.

i have noticed when i tried to order my phase 2 cam online that they vat you for the goods, then vat you for ya postage which is a tad naughty ! needless to say i fucked off the order but am stuck on where to get a good phase 2 cam from :(

I've called in and spoken to Ian, and contacted Avonbar by email. Neither experince particularly thrilled me so I'll be spending my engine money elsewhere. Some you win some you lose.

The only thing I can say in that defence is Avonbar probably receive hundreds of phone calls or emails every week, no offence to yourself at all but they cannot be expected to spend all day chatting, when you called in did you go there to spend some money? As after all that is what they are in business for, to take your money off you.

Point taken Tom - I did spend 50 quid on the day I visited but my main enqury was relating to a full head, cam, 4 pin diff etc. Benefit of the doubt to Ian, he was very busy on the day I visited. Pleasant guy though.

Its is impossible for any business to be 100%. Seem very helpful when I phoned. Tad on the expensive side with postage....but can't fault them. On 19th Jan, 2010 wil_h said:

I have had my ph2 cam kit from them and several other bits on numerous occasions and ian has always been helpful! must have been having a bad day! |
