Is this the correct book that people occasionally refer to:
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51C8...E2L._SS500_.jpg

Engine Management: Optimizing Modern Fuel and Ignition Systems (Haynes High-Performance Tuning Series) [Hardcover]

It looks like there have been a couple of versions and I cannot find this one on the Haynes site.

I have that book, to be honest I found it really rather basic, if you have any idea already about how injection works it will not really teach you an awful lot.

The version I have uses the same picture on the front, but includes carburettors in the line under the title, instead of in the list down the right hand side.

I would be tempted to get this one instead:

Sorry to Semi-jack this thread, but does anyone know of any decent spark/fuel mapping technique books? The more advanced level, the better.

That book looks excellent Paul, it's gone straight on the shopping list.

As Tom says it is very basic. I enjoyed it though, it is a good starting point if you know nothing.

TBH, I thought Dave Walkers book was crap. It was basic, but not really giving good insight to anything !!

Surprising, as his writeups in CCC and now PPC are always excellent.

Best all round book Ive seen about tuning in general, is Julian Edgars 21st Century Performance.

I think its out of print now though. Last one I seen on egay, was near £50 !!

speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

Looking for some holiday reading (not that I can afford a holiday with the amount TM Disease is costing me...)

Can anybody 'trump' Paul's link below? Looking for a book that goes a bit beyond the basics as I think I have a grasp on that (from reading here).
