I can highly recommend these guys.

They're located in Patchway, Filton, Bristol, off the A38.

Ask for Gary or Stuart Bowden (Gary's the senior, and used to work for Rolls-Royce over the road from his current workshops until setting up Bowdens in 1978).

I used them on recommendation from fellow TM nutcase Rob Heslop after I was looking for someone to machine bigger dishes in my new Omega pistons. I know others have also used them with success.

Bloody good shout Rob. Top quality work, reasonable price, 1 day turn around.

They do engine reconditioning, crank/cam grinding, rebores, offset boring (for example for 1380 cc), line boring, cylinder head skimming and refurbing, lathe work, one offs, ali and stainless Tig and Mig welding, brazing, disc and drum skimming etc. Everything is done in-house except cast iron welding.

They also have a full Dynamic engine balance machine. The approx cost for a full balance, with pistons and rods end to end balanced, crank, rods, flywheel, clutch, pulley is £150 but can just do individual items if you want.

i keep this in mind too.

hopefully should be getting a move on with my mk1 over crimbo.

not to close to me but will give them a go if there recommended

i can reccomend them greatly, they have done a couple of cylinder heads for me and are currently doing some custom machining work at present, they are also aware of the K head conversion and im hoping to get them to machine my block and K100 head.
