I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

If SC does I would be interested I would perhaps even dig in the Credit Card for it!

Great looking car.

Has the rev counter for it turned up yet? I really want to see how nice it looks, and how it needs wiring!

Oh, and are your 'K' modded alternators back in yet?

yeah heater take off is DSN's, I am swapping it for a normal valve as being a girl I want the heater for demisting etc, rather than cooking my legs over the summer.lol!

How long before a turbo gets sneaked onto one of these engines john? Lovely bit of kit!

If in doubt... flat out! The words of a true legend

Someone's clearly going to turbo one of these before then Brett, assuming that's when you're planning it.....

This head looks absolutely perfect for those wishing to retain their current turbo/manifold setup. Just need a nice plenum and TB made up and you're away!

A brief run down on my new car, which has kept my evenings and weekends busy for the past 7 months! Purchased the car from my mate DSN Dave's daughter in Sept as she was off to the US for a couple of years. It was mot'd but in dire need of a resto. So a deal was done and the car stripped to a bare shell. Most of the grot was cut of it before it went to the blasters for a blast/soda mix to strip her right back.

Then the work began - new panels:-

Heritage scuttle
Heritage full rear panel
Wings
A panels
inner wing
door bottoms
alloy door skins
1/2 boot floor
rear valance
rear 3/4 repairs
F/G boot/bonnet

Dave had already put full floors/sills into it previously - probably the only reason I bought the car!

The whole car was then styled around the rosepetal wheels - the colour choice was only made at Bingley this year after seeing a sportspack and old wolsey in the colour - yukon grey. So this is the first full paint job I've undertaken - in celly so nice and workable and she took 9/10 coats in all - plenty to rub off .lol! In went grey Newton headling and carpets. Grey tint perspex windows inc MK1 conversion for the MK3 doors. Cobra classic RS seats - replicas of early Porsche 911 RS seats - very different to other Cobra seats, rears trimmed by Cobra also. Momo Prototipo wheel and a fab Motogadget single instrument (thanks Marcos Matt for putting me onto them!) this is an awesome bit of kit and the first in the uk on a Mini. The suspension is conventional subframes/do-nuts with Protech shocks. 7.5 inch discs etc. Then it has the SC 7 port motor sitting on top of a clubman s/c gearset/ 4 pin diff etc, etc. Engine bay has been wired so that only the Typhoon ecu wiring is in there - all the rest is hidden. Shes reasonably light for a full fat mini at 614kg "wet" so not too bad. Just need to enjoy it now after spending every night from 5.30 and weekend in the workshop building her - any longer and Mrs K would have throttled me.
