Also if you are thinking of using port injection, then have a read of this as well:

I suggest you read through the EFi section of this forum. There is a lot of useful information.

If you want some basic info on fuel injection, then the Megasquirt manuals explain the basics, otherwise, Dave Walkers book is good, although not the latest info on 5 port injection.

If you want to build a MS yourself, then probably getting a kit from DIYAutotune in the US is a good option.

If you want a built unit then possibly use Phil Ringwood at ExtraEFI.co.uk.

Just read the forum mate. Lots and lots of useful info. Especially the EFI section. I read through the entire section over a 1 week period, and it helped a lot. I'd keep a list of things you're specifically having trouble with and use the search button. If still not found, try asking...

The problem with correctly fuel injecting the 5port is very few people inderstand it fully. i admit im not one of them but those who do undersrand have made their research public on this forum in great detail and it is easy to find because it all on one place

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

I live in the U.S., so DIYautotune.com is the best deal for me. I'm not sure what the shipping is to the U.K(if that's where your at)

I'd recomend DIYautotune too, good service.

We buy all our kits from DIYAutotune.

You need to decide on your horsepower target and whether you want to use port injection or wet manifold. Then we can advise on what you need.

There was a build guide planned, but that seems to have died due to the general apathy towards Efi.

Apathy? Damn. I was really looking forward to that build guide. I really want to port inject my 850, and it would have been a huge help! I guess I'll just have to use the forums instead.

I can think of a much better adjective than "apathy" (but still beginning with an "a") to describe recent events on the forum :)

But the information is still all there (at the moment) if you search carefully.

I would also consider GlensGarage for the kits/partial kits/etc.

Their order/supply process to the UK is a bit more haphazard than DIYAutotune but their prices are slightly better.

The 'apathy' is more towards Paul's poor attitude of late rather than siamese port injection.

You will only need the quad driver board if you plan to exceed approx. 120hp. Then you may need staged injection and more than two injectors. Depends on how you wish to control the injectors.

PM me your email address. I'll send you some more info.

You have an email on its way to you. I'm afraid I have no idea about SPi sensors.
