right i got my megajolt unit through the post today from carl.

i have been reading up on it and am sortof getting the grasp of what is needed and how to wire it up.

i have read up and figured how to wire all the basics and add the shift light, tacho. may even look into the extra rev limiter package.

the only questions i have are.

the vacuum. so this is meant to take the vacuum of the engine and adjust acordingly, with a turbo it going to be pressuring out rather than sucking the sensor in (if you get me) so is this still ok to use with the turbo as it will read oposite? and will the unit make sense of this and realise its controlling a turbo lump, or is there a setting in the software?

sorry to sound dumb i just cant figure it out myself and dont want to ruin my mjlj

and my other question is... is anyone using the temperature sensor option, is this recomended and what benefits does it have?

also has anyone got a copy of a 1380 turbo map (can tell you the spec if required) as it has a 998 NA map on it at the moment i think im right in saying. just so its a little closer to what i need before i get it set up properly after the engine is run in.

yes it will be fine with boost going into it upto approx 22psi, above that it will make no further adjustment to the timing.

I dont think the temp sensor option dies much, apart form being able to log the temp and use it to turn on a cooling fan.

have a look here foe maps

i will do however, i think for now im pretty good. i know how to wire evrything now, and plum it roughly.

i printed 19 pages from autosportlabs to help me out aswell. that cleared most of it exept the question which you just answered.

the next question will be in regards to fiddling with the laptop and setting her up/ running, im stil a few weeks of that tho :(

cheers again bud.
