My mate crashed after a very good first run in the second run:

The wheel was broken, and the lower arm was rubbed away. He could repair the wheel suspension in meantime of the second run, because he was one of the first starters. So he was able to compete the third run, and at the end of the day he was the winner of his class... *smiley*

Bummer. Was lucky not to smash the diff to pieces, I guess the wheel took all the pain.

Dont know the detailed spec, but i know that he drives "legally" in the historic class until 1300ccm. S-Block, if i'm right it's bored to the first oversize. Double H4 carb.
But what makes him really quick is the spectacular manner of driving. Because of this fact he has many fans, how you can see at this nice pic (a race track guardian at the return journey):
