That was just up the road from me, the news had a fit about it.

The track is pretty average, cos the v8 supercars have rippled the tarmac from the braking forces and you can get air born going over them.

Golly! Lucky crowd. I saw Rob Spencer's z-car mini barrel roll similarly at Oulton Park a couple of years ago - the video's a bit too far up the hill but he did hop the tyre wall but rather than in to a crowd he went in to the lake) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYWK0hJB3Ac&feature=related

But speaking of lucky b___ards, I also watched this crash occur right in front of me - check out the marshall when the 2nd sliding car (blue Viper?) comes in... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAvc0Cij7zA I should point out it was a stunning day 1 lap earlier (i.e. everyone on slicks) then it threw it down like nothing I've ever seen, the result speaks for itself!
