I phoned them last week to order a pair of the 13" offset rear mount coilovers. They were very helpful on the phone with my questions and queries.

Well I went to pick them up today, and the quality is fantastic. Also each shock, without spring weighs, according to the kitchen scales 950g

Kevin who is the owner was very helpful, we had a nice chat and among other things explained there is also a 3 year warranty on them.

Thumbs up.

Although i only went over for some advice, and he was proper helpfull.

I would recommend them.

So the Protech damper on it's own is less than 1kg. Does anyone know what a typical GAX/SPAX rear damper weighs?

Just weighing up the cost v. weight saving of a set or rear Protech dampers (no pun in ten did).

Find the weight of your mini and go to merlin motorsport at combe, show them the coilovers and they can get springs you need.
