Some pics of the head before it went off for finish machining for valve seats etc

The seats will take up to 37 *32 valves

chamber size will be confirmed once the valves etc are in it - but it can be made as large as you like for Turbo use!

Port injection points can be seen on some of the photo's, the ports are as machined on the cnc.

M12 plugs

Testing of this head (36.5*31) will commence mid next week, engine spec is 1380cc with Calver RE130PP camshaft, 1.5:1 rockers, circa 11:1 comp, SC billet throttle bodies and a few exh manifolds will be tried.

Does it come in red? *hehe!*

If the performance is as good as the looks it should be pretty special.

its possible we will anodise them yes!

price is going to be confirmed after the finish machining to the head - expect a sizeable chunk - less - than the iron 7 port

that looks amazing John.

Will they be sold with a set chamber size with the buyer to skim to his/her requirements? or will you be offering the head up skimmed to suit the user requirements? they look pretty deep to start off with, which can only be a good thing!

I'm thinking this might really be very popular!

We'll be at Bingley - 31st Jan with the engine, pricing etc.

the details over chamber sizes is a little open at the minute, if we leave them "big" and supply built heads it means tearing them down to skim them - don't know wether we would supply heads machined but not assembled

Very nice John!

Chamber wise obviously you want to keep the head thickness at standard so the rocker geometry is std, if customers then withs to skim then its up to them,

I assume that you have left a fair bit round the chamber so it can be hogged out a fair way (more than the circa 24-25cc of the minisport 7 port) and left the deck thick enough to skim.

If I were in your shoes i'd supply them with std chamber size (round it to an even 22cc?) after all its cheap enough to get a chamber taken out.

It occurs to me that this head could form the basis of a really good turbo conversion requiring no bukhead mods. Having no inlet to deal with makes placement of the turbo much easier. John, do you have any plans around this area?

Top work there!

Is it any thicker than the standard 5 port?

As it looks it in the pictures.

Can webers be fitted to it or just throttle bodies?

John.

Fantastic work mate. Really superb.

Are the exhaust ports in the standard position as the stud holes seem to be offset on the outer runners ?

Hats off to you.

See you on 31st.

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.
