Now I asked a firm, which is specialized on welding. AND IT IS NOT POSSIBLE!

Trying to weld cylinder heads is a nightmare, go with the sleeve !

If you get the head welded by a pro, you will have to re plug and skim it after as they have to heat the head up ti weld it, i've had a few of mine welded in past where they have cracked, and it works ok. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

you can sleeve with a section of copper pipe then siver solder it then drill out push rod hole and smooth of the port throat, had this done on one of mine with great sucess. always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas |

I mould in an aluminium sleeve which had 0,2mm bigger diameter than the hole. A pilot and a big hydraulic jack made a smooth job... |

I'm sure we wouldn't be where we are today on TM without a few pushing the boundaries and doing stuff like head repairs. I admit there are usually limitations but in the spirit of adversity it never ceases to amaze me how creative poeple can be with the right knowledge and the will to question the norm. Richard.
