My Mini Turbo Project, this car has been rebuilt from the ground up using either brand new or high quality second hand parts. I’ve built this car over a 6 year period and everything has been painstakingly removed, improved and replaced. Just about every nut and bolt has been renewed. The car has done less than 2 miles since completion, including the engine. The must be close to concours standards. The car is fully operational and drivable with all electrics working.

Please ignore the number plates in the photes, this is a plate i have on retention and was planning to use it on the mini. The car with come with the shells original V5, which would put it on a D plate.

Bodyshell
Originally a 1987 Park Lane in Black.
All rust removed and replaced with new panels
Full bare metal respray in AA Landrover Yellow
Respray includes underside (stonechipped first) inside, under bonnet and inside the boot
New Steel front end – including 2 wings, 2 a-panels and front panel
Inner wings removed and brace bars fitted
Inner and outer Sills replaced
Driver’s side door step replaced, including bottom section of rear quarter panel
Both rear arches replaced
Full boot floor replacement
Rear valance and both corner closing sections replaced
Rear Bins and seat Swab removed
Turbo Bulkhead box fitted
Additional Box fitted above Bulkhead box for additional clearance
New 6 Point Bolt in roll cage in Black
Doors are lightened, inner panel and window mechanism removed
New door seals
Polycarb tinted windows all round (except windscreen) with sliders in doors
New Tinted windscreen fitted
New Window seals and Chrome inserts all round, including rear opening quarters
This car has had not patching; if the panel was rusty it has been cut out and replaced
Fibreglass Mk1 style KAD
New Mk1 Moustache and moustache ends
New Mk1 Wide Slat Chrome Internal release Grill
New Chrome Bumpers and over-riders Front and Rear
New Fibreglass Mk1 Style Bootlid with Correct number plate carrier
Mk2 Rear lights
New Crystal Halogen Headlights
Clear front indicators with orange bulbs
All new bright work, including door handles, light surrounds etc
Motor bike door mirrors in black
New Wide Group 2 Arches in Black

Engine and Gearbox

The engine has been built over the last 12 months; the engine starts first time and boosts, the engine still requires being run-in and setting up on a rolling road.

Bad Points

Turbo smokes a bit
Needs new choke cable
Indicators flash a bit slow
Wiring behind the dash is a bit untidy

Tighten up roll cage
Set engine up on rolling road
Set suspension up
Get MOT

I want £4800 for the car; please don’t ask for individual parts at this point as I will not split unless I have a buyer for the shell.

There is a genuine reason for the sale which is based on a personal change, the change is not financial based and I’m not in a hurry to sell.

I’m based in Worksop (S81) which is between Nottingham and Sheffield. You will need a trailer to remove the car.

Well Mark I must say it seems a shame for you to get so close and sell up, but I guess it must be the right decision for you. Steve good luck with the car.

I know but I just don't get the time, life has changed quite a bit for me since I started it and it seems more of a shame it just sat in the garage.

Hopefully Steve will take it those last few step, get it finished and use it like it was intended. It really shouldn't take much to complete, just iron out those fresh build bugs.

I don't think I expected it to sell so quickly and I'm sat here tonight with a bit of a stange feeling, but Im really pleased it's going to someone on here and that he seems to be intending to finish it, rather than break it.

not breaking it and as i,m know nothing about turbo A series , hopefully the guys will keep an eye on me, and when it finished my you can meet me and give it a good thrashing !
