Okay, so I want some opinion here, and you can go ahead and call me dumb if you want. Being here in the U.S. there seems to be a quandary of parts for small bore motors. As in, there are none... So, Rather than try and get a guy across the pond make some up and hope to god that they're right, JE Pistons will do me up a set, with any size dish I specify, obviously within reason as no one could really use a 1000cc dish or what have you, for $160 a piston. Forged for strength, built specifically for my motor, which they would need in house. To much, or sound like a fair deal? Seems to be the only deal I can find, for small bore, so it's what I'm doing either way, input is always nice though.

Wherever you are in the world I suspect that there is no off-the-shelf option for 850 performance pistons.

£100 a piston is a fair wack, but if it's the only option, it seems fair enough.

If you built a 998 or 1098 then you can get a whole set for less than £150.

A set of forged Omegas is also over £400 so I don't think it's bad at all for a custom jobbie.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

Okay. Sounds fair then. I was considering a 998, but I have a 63' and a 998 that needs a rebuild, at least I think it's a 998, I'm going to post the engine code here tonight, see if it is, maybe some of you can help, and I might turbo the 63' with a 998. If not I'm going big bore, but I figure I already have the motor, so I might as well use it.
