Hi all iam trying to find info and sources for tuning parts and one of the bits i cant find anything on is an exhaust manifold (head to turbo), i have standard one but was looking for an uprated/moded one. any info on where you can get one or even if its worth doing would be grate.

Nobody makes a T3 manifold other than the standard one. There is the Mirage manifold but that is a compromise in terms of space and it's design looks like it shouldn't flow well. However, Nic's car produced 216hp with it so it can't be that bad! On 12th Nov, 2009 Paul S said:

Oh sounds like iam out of luck with that one, i want to stick with semi standard parts (no wild expermentle re-engineering) so i might just have to clean and polish the one ive got then. MonkeyFish rule |

Yeah, there is no alternative other than making your own if you want a different manifold On 12th Nov, 2009 Paul S said:

Not many people make them. Most people use adapters on a standard or mirage manifold to suit whatever turbo they are using. I made mine because I'm using an oddball turbo On 12th Nov, 2009 Paul S said:

The only down side to the standard manifold is the need to fit the bulkhead box. Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

and i would say that there are more things to worry about than the "apparent" restriction of flow in the mirage manifolds

After seeing Iains performance at MITP, you can't fault the Mirage style manifold. On 19th Jan, 2010 wil_h said:
