Well on my travels today i finally decided to stop at this salvage yard.

They had 6+ minis, and a crap load of metro's in there. None of the minis were 1275's originally, but may have had one plonked in there at some point, so theres always a possibility, didnt have a proper look, as thats not what i was there for.

Might have been some 1275 metros.

The guys were helpfull, one was quite knowledgable, which might mean he'll bump up the price, as he knows his stuff.

But you could salvage bits of them. Would be a shame to see it all just rot away.

i know this place pretty well, and its bloody brilliant. Not too sure about calling it 'modern' though, if you delve deep enough there is stuff from the 30's and 40's still there!!!!

Actually thinking about it, one of them does know his minis really well, his old race car (mini) is tucked away down th back..... not sure on the spec, but i remember chatting with him and was pretty good. still has the cooper s discs on it last time i saw it, wasn't originally a cooper mind!! ill see if i can find the photos!!

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!

Im not sure about the modern either lol, just what it said on their card lol.

S disc's is what i was after yesterday. And the chappy said there wasn't any down there. Only 8.4's.... although the young guy down there seemed to follow me around. Which i found annoying to say the least.

unless theyve tidied the place up there is a set up there!! whether you can get them or not is the challenge...... the mini in question is NOT with the rest of them but it is there......

pm if you want a bit more info, it doesnt really seem fair to post it up on a public forum.....

mind, im not saying they'll be usuable, just that there is (tbh, there was, they *might* be gone but i very much doubt it!!) a set on a mini up there.....

Hmmmm, i think it could be worth another trip down.

If it is still there, its strange how the fella said he had no cooper s brakes, or mk1 parts.....

Is this the absolutely MASSIVE one on a country road in the middle of nowhere?

I think I go past it every Tuesday on the way to college...always wanted to stop in but am there either too early or late.

Their ok down there, but they seem to really know how to charge for some things, but then not charge a lot for others. My mate and I managed to get a good deal on two 1275 metro engines recently.
