I have 33mm single collet minispares 1275 inlets and I think they are 26.4 mm triple collet minispares exhausts

No sodium filled valves required.

Just use good quality valves and guides and have the exhaust guides relieved to reduce the chance of binding.

Never heard of that.

Not had a problem using standard valves, so it would maybe be overkill.

1275 valves are a bodge. Stey clear.

Minispares sell some very nice 31mm inlets and 26.5mm exhaust valves. Failing this, you could call Paul Ivey, he's got some 32mm/27mm rimflo valves which are cheap and very good.
The service is fantastic also.

You probably don't have those valves on a 12G295 ...

The best standard size valves for the 12G295 are these:

http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?ty=pb&pid=33367&title=VALVE EXHAUST 1.040

http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?ty=pb&pid=33657&title=VALVE INLET 30.93mm SHORT...

But it sounds like you may have a modified head with those sizes you have measured.

EDIT: Links wont work for some reason.

Loook for C-AEG587 & C-AEG588

Vegad recommended I use these :

as exhausts (or maybe I misread what he was writing

I have previously done that, but that was mostly because the 26.5mm exh was too small. If a 26.5mm valve seat will clean up the old one, I'd use that.

Does that mean your seat had sunk so you used a bigger valve to do away with a new seat ?

I thougt a bigger exhasut valve was wortwhile on turbo application because inlet being now boosted, the new bottle neck is now the exhaust.

But all in all it is not worthwhile, is it ?

Yes, the seat was so worn, so instead of fitting a new valve seat, i fitted a bigger valve..
