Joint Exclusive Track Day - Cadwell Park!

Hi Guys,

I am a moderator and event organiser on www.toyotagtturbo.com from when I owned a Toyota Starlet GT Turbo. I am currently trying to oragnise a track day for members to follow on from our recent track day at Llandow. We have chosen Cadwell for this on the 9th November 2009. I have decided to open this up to this forum and offer it to you guys too so that we can get enough people to make sure the day happens! The cost is a rather low £120. We can have 31 on track at a time so they'll be plenty of track time available. It is the full track.

If we can get a minimum of 10 people from this forum to join us then I will keep it just between TGTT.com and turbominis.co.uk. There could also be a very high chance that turbominis.co.uk will get 30 mins exclusive club track time.

This is a great chance for two very different marques to get together and see just how good each are! Will be a lot of fun!

Actually I think it's more to do with what people on this forum use their cars for.

Do a poll, how many members have used their minis on a track day in the last 12 months (not including drag racing). I bet it's very few. TBH honest I can't think of any.

I'd say Jimster and Giallofly cars hve done the most track mileage, and our car has done the most events (6 if you count each entry). Who else?

The plan for my rad was to do more trackdays, but it hasnt quite happened due to my lack of brakes

The DON has done track days at Castle Combe, Cadwell Park x2, and Elvington.

So on a forum with nearly 7000 members, one car has done a trackday so far this year.

I've set up a pole as I'm interested now.

i do quite a few up here, but usually there cheap as chips, and even then i can only do a few per year due to cost of wear to brakes and tyres :( i certainly couldnt justify £120 for entrey + easily £200 in fuel + £300(and a weekend or 2 off the road) for the usual steering rack, wheel bearings, cv joints and tyres. Drag is much cheaper by comparison. will spend on average £100 per event including fuel and broken parts :)

P.S i think its pretty decent of you mr awesome to try and include us mini people in your event, but i dont think youll get any takers for the reason nic stated and also there never seems to be 10 working cars on here lol

Well that's fair then lol. I used to want a Mini myself but being 6 foot 4 I decided against it for a daily driver, but still love them so it'd have been an ideal mix for me!

Tis a shame about the falling out, I had no idea anything had happened between the sites!
