Hello All,

Another noobie question, but I'm not sure if it's been answered yet. I still have 4 pages of threads to go through on reading... Do you have to have an mpi/spi cam, and what grinds are people finding most useful? I'm looking at rebuilding, turboing and injecting my 850cc, and If I don't have to swap the cam right now then I don't want to. I want to get to the injection soon so I can work on that, so that when I rebuild the motor I have a base to work with.

you dont have to have the mpi/spi cam, most short duration cams are usable, some being more usable than others,

the MG metro cam works well in a 998 turbo, for a 1275-1380 you can go slightly hotter, a 266 or a 276 or the avon bar phase 2.

I would guess, (and this really is a guess) that a std 1275 metro cam would be good in an 850.

If your going for injection you ideally want a greater LCA to help reduce charge robbing.
