Alright, I know I was asked not to type any more, but I have to ask the question. I keep hearing of the siamese code, and I see the posts for it, but is this a downloadable map, or is this something that a user has to acutally write using a computer hooked to the ecu? I'm really sorry for my ignorance, EFI is not my strong point, not yet.

And just to make sure, that's using the Megatune program, correct?

i believe you can use megatune though the autor of the code (jbelanger) porefers the use of "tuner studio" avaliable on the msefi forums.

Well, actually, you will need TunerStudio rather than Megatune - as Paul and I have found out - because Jean's latest version of the siamese code is a bit too good for Megatune......

But if you are serious about getting involved, you will need a fully built MS2 with additional phase (cam) input and a JimStim to drive it (or a real engine).

As has been implied, there are very few of us working on this at the moment - Paul S is way out in front in terms of actually running it, and I'm trying to catch up, and Gerard in the States is running it an a B series and Fabrice in France is about to start.

I would sugest a long read of the appropriate posts in the EFI section of the forum.

The "siamese code" as we call it is now incorporated in the latest alpha MS2/Extra code v3.0.3.

It is currently an alpha version but works fine.

Go to:

You will have to register to see the MS2?Extra Development section.

Okay. Thanks all. I'm working my way through all the thread posts. I think it's helped my understanding quite a bit, just the little I've read, and I've got quite a ways to go. I think I may be able to start an EFI project using the siamese code here this year, probably later this year, decemberish... I'm hoping to join the ranks of the 5-port injection here soon.

Dont forget about me. I am still working on the setup. Ive got the MS2 built with mods necessary, I need to update the code. The problem ive run into is my wiring adapter keeps getting into trouble and the stock exhaust pipes are double walled which is impeding exhaust gas flow over the dual WBs. I need to mod them or something to improve the flow over the WBs. I also dont have any maps for either ignition or fuel but the wb issue is holding me up

Glad to see you back, Darren. I wasn't sure you were still planning on running it. And do upgrade to the latest code to get all the bug fixes and new features.

Unless someone has a better starting curve, you could use one of the 123 dizzy curves as a starting point: http://www.tdcperformance.ca/tuning_guide.htm. It most certainly won't be optimum but should be good enough to start with.
