Hey guys, just a quick one as I'm sure someone will know the answer to this.

You can probably get away without it, its purpose is to smooth the supply voltage to the coil.

I've been running my Megasquirt with the Ford coil pack for over two years now without the capacitor and without a problem.........

Thanks for that Paul, thats very encouraging - my wideband sensor is at the opposite corner of the engine bay to the coil pack pretty much so I should be fine on that score. On 15th Jul, 2009 fastcarl said:

I've been doing all my testing (megasquirt/coilpack) without it and without any problems so far - it wasn't until Paul came up with his O2 readings issue and Denis mentioned the capacitor that I realised I'd forgotten to fit it too.... Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |
