Hi running alloy top caps on triple collet valves and a few people i know have recently dropped a valve guess what they are running...was.I have checked mine and don't like the look of them not one sitting the same!! so any info very gratefull which ones have you found to be good was looking at some titanium ones but £125 is a tad dear are the standard ones any good? many thanks in advance Jon. |

If there the mini spares alloy top cap they only work with Single collet race valves, If you are runing a turbo then you will be running

PaulH is spot on. Those retainers aren't designed for triple grooved valves. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

Agreed, I broke a couple using the triple grooved collets. Take them off. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

yes ditch the alloy top caps and fit standard top caps single or triple groved to suite your valves

Thanks for the replys very gratefull,i am running supercharger 286 cam and 1.5 rockers so have been using isky springs had them lying about so thought i might aswell use them,i was going to buy some new ones but if the standard ones are up to the job? i will use them thanks |
